Why it’s on the route

This is where Momos began in 2007, when founder Lee Hyun-gi opened a roughly four-pyeong coffee bar in a corner of his parents' restaurant near Oncheonjang. Over the years the plot grew to around 400 pyeong, taking in several buildings from the 1960s to the early 2000s, which a recent renovation reinforced while keeping their old character, set around a garden courtyard. The coffee is roasted by Momos, whose co-CEO Jeon Ju-yeon won the 2019 World Barista Championship.
