Why it’s on the route
Afloat is run by partners Jimmy Leong, the head roaster, and Loo Choy Leng, a certified coffee judge, from a second-floor shop in Bukit Jalil's Arked Esplanad. Beans are roasted weekly on an in-house Pratter roaster and grouped into Macro, Micro and Unique ranges, the last covering rare varietals and competition lots; the pair roasted and tasted the coffees for Jason Loo's 2025 World Barista Championship routine. Pour-over and filter sit alongside espresso, with a tasting every morning.
