Why it’s on the route
Single Estate was founded in 2007 by Patrick Groenewold and Bas Burghoorn and roasts at its own roastery in Maasdijk. All coffees are single-origin, about 85% of them direct trade, and filter is brewed by V60 or AeroPress. The flagship is a two-storey corner building with a Jugendstil facade, seating around 40 and a training centre upstairs.
