Why it’s on the route

Fuglen is the original Oslo café of a brand that roasts and serves its own coffee, now with branches abroad. The roast sits slightly closer to medium than a classic Nordic light roast, and daytime service centres on Kalita-brewed filter and espresso drinks. The mid-century room is furnished with vintage Scandinavian pieces, and it becomes a cocktail bar in the evening.
