Blocleaf Café
Manila, Philippines
Why it’s on the route
Blocleaf Café opened in Malate in 2017, started by Reymart Cerin and fellow members of the design group Public School Manila, who had first planned a plant-inspired furniture line. The coffee is Philippine-grown, sourced in partnership with Kalsada Coffee, whose team also taught the owners to brew. The small room has floor-to-ceiling windows, pinewood furniture and plenty of plants, with lattes, teas and in-house cookies and sandwiches.
