Why it’s on the route
Escolta Coffee Company is a Manila roaster with roots in Kalsada, the Philippine specialty exporter, opened in 2022 on the ground floor of the art deco First United Building. It focuses on Philippine single origins, including a Benguet arabica from Barangay Caliking and a Bukidnon robusta, roasted to a medium profile alongside a few blends. Staff help match beans to your brewing method, and drip bags and cascara tea are also sold.
