Why it’s on the route

Highlander was started by brothers Phil and Cedric Ho, who began with barista training in 2004 and opened this coffee bar two years later so they could roast their own blends and serve them. Its two roasters supply the house Quattro blend and wholesale accounts, and the same address runs one of Singapore's longest-standing coffee academies and the local AeroPress championship. The bar itself is small and understated, in a row of shophouses on Kampong Bahru Road.
