Why it’s on the route

Da Matteo was born in Marstrand in 2003 and has roasted its own coffee since 2007; the Magasinsgatan site (2010) combines roastery, sourdough bakery and café. The company lists espresso, Chemex, V60, Aeropress and filter-machine brewing, and green coffee sacks sit in the café. The room is a converted 19th-century riding hall with seating from the roastery floor to a hidden courtyard.
