Worth a detour
Malmö · Gamla Staden, Sweden
Why it’s on the route
Lilla Kafferosteriet opened in 2006 as a pioneering Swedish micro roastery and roasts at its own facility nearby, supplying fine-dining restaurants and running a barista school. Its beans include coffee from an Indonesian cooperative and lots from Peru, Guatemala and Brazil. The two-floor café sits in an old building with many snug corners, and has outdoor seating on a car-free street.
