Why it’s on the route

Summer Savage is a small wooden coffee kiosk in a Zhongshan alley off Songjiang Road, with only a seat or two outside and most coffee served to take away. Its beans are roasted just down the road, and single origins rotate regularly, some kept off the printed menu. The menu leans on espresso drinks such as brown-sugar and honey-cinnamon lattes, and baristas will tailor a cup to your taste.
