Ascend Coffee Roasters is a woman-owned, small-batch roaster run by Erin Harper that began as Old California Coffee House at Old California Restaurant Row in San Marcos. It opened this La Costa café in the Los Coches Village centre in 2023, and after the San Marcos shop closed in 2024 it became the main home of the brand, serving espresso drinks and cold brew with breakfast tacos, toasts and pastries baked in-house.
