Why it’s on the route

Ironsmith is a veteran-owned roaster run by former Marine Matt Delarosa, who travels often to producing countries and is frequently behind the bar himself. The narrow shop on Coast Highway 101 has a roll-up garage-door front, concrete floors, a long tree-trunk bench and the roaster on display behind the bar, with a sidewalk patio facing the highway. Latin American and African coffees are served as filter and espresso.
