Why it’s on the route
Ashlawn Farm Coffee grew out of an old barn on the Adams family farm in Lyme, where Carol Ann Adams began roasting in 2002, making it one of Connecticut's early specialty roasters. Its Old Saybrook café serves that coffee with house-made baked goods, and Yankee magazine has named Ashlawn the best coffee shop in the state.
