Why it’s on the route

J.René is the roasting company of José René Martinez, who started with a single roaster around 2006 and opened the West Hartford café in 2012. Coffee is roasted in-house on a Diedrich, and the hand-brew bar is known for siphon coffee alongside espresso. The brick-and-wood room deliberately has no Wi-Fi, to keep it a place for conversation.
