Why it’s on the route

Bold Bean was founded in 2007 by Jay Burnett, who started roasting in his backyard, and has grown into a family-run Jacksonville roaster supplying cafés and grocers across the city. Beans are selected for clarity and sweetness after origin visits and tasted across espresso, pour-over and batch brew. The Riverside café on Stockton Street, opened in 2011, was the first of its shops and also pours craft beer and wine.
