Café Allegro

Why it’s on the route

Café Allegro has been pulling espresso in the University District since 1975 and claims to be Seattle's oldest continually running espresso bar. It is reached through an alley entrance off University Way, with tall ceilings downstairs and more seating up a flight of stairs. It is an old-school, espresso-focused student hangout rather than a modern specialty bar.
