Why it’s on the route
Catalina Café was founded in Tallahassee in 2011 by Maurice Moulton and Patricia Allaire, with Moulton roasting the coffee himself. The Gaines Street café opened in 2015 in an industrial-style building in the College Town area and stays open later than the original shop, serving house-roasted coffee alongside breakfast and lunch. In 2019 the pair joined forces with local roaster RedEye Coffee, where Moulton leads sourcing and roasting.
