Why it’s on the route

Dana Street Roasting Company has been a downtown Mountain View fixture since the late 1990s, a busy, theatre-like room where locals start their day. Owner and roaster Nick, who learned the craft at Palo Alto Roasting Company, brought roasting in-house after taking over and moved the coffee toward lighter roasts. The counter serves espresso drinks, freshly roasted beans, pastries and cakes.
