Why it’s on the route

Good Coffee was founded in 2014 by brothers Sam and Nick Purvis, both longtime coffee-industry hands, and has grown into one of Portland's leading independent chains, roasting its own beans since around 2017. Each café has its own look, but the menus share a reputation for inventive seasonal lattes, such as smoked fig and allspice or hojicha vanilla, alongside straightforward filter and espresso.
