Why it’s on the route

Onda Origins was started by brothers Scott and Paul Tupper, who began by selling hand-labelled bags of coffee from their garage. The company returns part of each sale to the grower, with traceability via a QR code that links each coffee to its farmer, including partners such as Costa Rican Cup of Excellence winner Enrique Navarro. Its café and roastery on Rainier Avenue South is a bright, kid-friendly room with a covered street-side patio.
