Why it’s on the route
Paper Plane was founded in 2015 by Jonathan Echeverry, a fifth-generation coffee grower whose family farm, Villa Elisa, is in Risaralda, Colombia; he started in Brooklyn and moved to Montclair in 2019. Coffee is roasted in-house on a Giesen roaster and served as espresso, batch brew and V60 pour-over alongside playful signature drinks. The renovated Claremont Avenue shop now connects to the North Fullerton Avenue café next door.
