Why it’s on the route

Press Coffee Bar was opened in Dayton's Oregon District in 2011 by Janelle and Brett Barker as a multi-roaster café; they later began roasting in their garage and now roast all their coffee on a 12-kilo Probat under the Wood Burl Coffee name. The original shop is a clean, narrow room with a bar built from reclaimed solid-wood doors, and a second, Nordic- and Japanese-influenced café opened in the Belmont neighborhood in 2019.
