Why it’s on the route

Ryan Bros. Coffee is run by brothers Tom, Harry and Carmine Ryan, who started with a single coffee stand in the mid-1990s and grew into a wholesale business with cafés in Barrio Logan and North County. Beans come from Latin America, Indonesia and Africa and go into blends named for local places, such as Coronado Moonlight and San Diego Sunrise, with cups brewed to order under the motto 'life is too short to be bitter'.
