Scout Coffee

Why it’s on the route

Scout was opened by Sara and Jon Peterson in a 1911 brick building on Garden Street in downtown San Luis Obispo, and now roasts its own coffee. The bar front is reclaimed Douglas fir and the high bar is cut from an old Monterey cypress, with a redwood wall and living plants in the atrium. Single cups are brewed as V60 or Chemex alongside batch brew and espresso.
