Why it’s on the route
Single Speed is owned by Brad Richmann and spent years as a wholesale roaster with mobile cafés, including an electric cargo trike, before opening this roastery café on East Butler Avenue in 2021. Diedrich IR3 and vintage IR12 roasters are in view of the bar, which serves espresso, batch brew and pour-over. The bright room mixes white walls, natural wood and raw steel, with a small loft upstairs.
