Why it’s on the route
Firecreek opened in 2015 in the 1888 Donahue Building on Historic Route 66, almost directly across from Flagstaff's train station. Its coffee is roasted a few blocks away at 111 Roasting Works, and the bar pulls the Boxcar blend or a single origin on a three-group La Marzocco, with single-origin filter by French press, dripper or pour-over. Firecreek has since added a café in Phoenix's Arcadia area.
