Why it’s on the route

Spella is Andrea Spella's Italian-style espresso bar, which started as a cart in 2006 and grew into a roasting business. The small shop in the lobby of a century-old downtown office building pulls espresso on a lever machine from its own traditional Italian roasts, serves shakeratos, and works from a classic price-list menu, with baristas in neckties.
