Why it’s on the route
Ultimo Coffee was founded in 2009 by Aaron and Elizabeth Ultimo, starting from the original shop on South 15th Street in Newbold. After years serving Counter Culture, Aaron began roasting in-house in 2016 on a 1992 Probat L12 he refurbished himself, in a roastery upstairs in a South Philadelphia building.
