Why it’s on the route
Herman's Coffee was opened in 2017 by Mat Falco and Amy Strauss in a former auto body shop in Pennsport, named after Falco's grandfather, whose red-and-chrome lawn chair became the logo. The beans are roasted on site to custom profiles developed with Woody DeCasere of One Village Coffee, and the menu keeps to coffee, espresso drinks, bagels and pastries.
