Why it’s on the route

Hoff is the retail café of Beanhop Coffee Roastery, led by Nguyen Manh Khiem, who studied roasting and pays close attention to brewing water; his motto is that coffee is a fruit, so it should taste like one. Vietnamese Robusta and Da Lat Arabica go into siphon, pour-over and espresso, plus a bac xiu made with honey-processed Robusta. The original shop is a compact concrete-and-wood room on the second floor of an old apartment building on Ly Tu Trong.
