Why it’s on the route

Hummingbird was opened in 2019 by Tran Hoa, a roaster, CQI Q Grader and former Vietnam National Barista Competition judge. It roasts in-house under its Blue in Green Coffee Roasters label on a 15kg Probat, with profiles a little more developed than Nordic style, rotating coffees from Vietnam, Ethiopia and Kenya. The café occupies a 1950s colonial villa down a District 3 alley, with a long bar and exposed rafters; its nitro cold brew is well regarded.
