Why it’s on the route
Torrefazione Cannaregio has roasted coffee in Venice since 1930 and is described as the last roastery producing coffee in the heart of the city. Beans such as Colombia, Ethiopia, Guatemala and Honduras are roasted by hand, with sacks and cooling trays visible to visitors. The bar serves espresso, macchiato and cappuccino in a larger, newer space with seating.
