Why it’s on the route

Sapta is a tiny shop in a white-tiled apartment block in Hikarimachi, with two seats and a standing ledge. Owner Tatsuya Nagasaka roasts everything to a medium level with a gentle profile he calls yasashii, or kind, and serves it as pour-over, such as a Rwandan Umurage, or as espresso from a Faema E61. An early-morning batch brew is aimed at commuters.
