Calas (Kalas) Coffee is run by Choi Min-geun, a Korea Coffee Roasting Champion whose third place at the 2015 World Coffee Roasting Championship was Korea's best result at the time. The roasting is precise and aims to draw out each coffee's range of flavour, with beans roasted the same day they are ordered, from the floral, Africa-based Wild Flower Blend to single origins such as an Ecuadorian Sidra. The brand opened a branch in Leipzig, Germany, in 2020.
