Coffee Libre was started in 2009 by Seo Pil-hoon, who began with a modest bar in Yeonnam-dong's Dongjin Market. The company buys green coffee directly from producers, paying on quality, and roasts it for its own shops and wholesale. The Yeonnam shop now occupies a converted two-storey house near Gyeongui Line Forest Park, with the bar downstairs and a bright, open room above.
