Why it’s on the route

Alchemist started as a takeaway counter at International Plaza and has grown into a roaster with outlets in Singapore, Taiwan and Japan. It roasts its own blends, Dark Matter, Equilibrium and Lumos, plus a long list of single origins from places such as Kenya, Rwanda, Bolivia and Thailand. The Arab Street outlet serves seasonal filters alongside espresso, and the team includes 2023 Singapore Brewers Cup Champion Alistair Seetho.
