Why it’s on the route
Tiong Hoe's story goes back to 1960, when founder Tan Tiong Hoe began a coffee apprenticeship at 16; his son Jacob Tan and partner Juliana launched the specialty arm in 2014. The Stirling Road café occupies the elder Tan's former office. Q graders select 20-plus origins, roasted twice a week and offered on a hand-brew menu; at VivoCity you can pick green beans and have them roasted in about 30 minutes.
