Kaffeehaus was opened in 2010 by former journalist Gallus Hufenus, who roasts on site and buys through direct trade, mostly from farms he has visited. Single origins from Colombia, Brazil, Peru and India are offered for espresso and filter, with a Chemex kept on the shelf. The room keeps a traditional Italian-style interior while serving modern drinks such as nitro cold brew.
