Why it’s on the route
VWI Coffee House is the Taichung shop of Chad Wang, who won the World Brewers Cup in 2017 after training under Japanese champion Yoshikazu Iwase and Demetrios Tsiotsios. The brew menu changes with the season by origin, bean and method, and he is known for a two-handed, three-kettle pour. Opened in 2023, it fills a two-storey old house with tall white walls and vintage wooden fittings.
