Why it’s on the route
Samadool, Thai for 'balance', is a micro-roastery on the ground floor of a townhouse down a small alley off Sukhumvit 49. It roasts separate espresso and filter profiles, adjusting them each year, and brings in northern Thai farm coffees in season alongside lots from Colombia, Peru, Kenya and elsewhere. Drip coffee is the focus; seating is minimal, and beans, drip bags and occasional cuppings are on offer.
