Abanico Coffee Roasters
San Francisco · Mission, United States
Why it’s on the route
Abanico is run by roaster and Q Grader Ana Valle, whose Salvadoran family settled in the Bay Area in the 1980s; she opened the Mission café at 17th and Mission, in the Redlick Building. Valle roasts on a San Franciscan SF-6, mostly Latin American coffees from partners in Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico. The bilingual menu pairs specialty espresso with café de olla and café con morro, in a bright room with a mural by Jason Jagel.
