Why it’s on the route
Bolt was started in 2012 as an events coffee cart by Bryan Gibb and Todd Mackey, who had met working at New Harvest, and has roasted its own coffee since 2018 in a former auto-repair shop in Smith Hill. The Washington Street café, opened in 2020, centres on a C-shaped bar with a La Marzocco and filtered water, serving espresso, batch brew and pour-over.
