Why it’s on the route

Chazzano is the roastery café of Frank Lanzkron-Tamarazo, who moved it from Ferndale to its own building in downtown Berkley in January 2023 after outgrowing the original shop. He roasts everything himself daily and keeps more than 35 coffees from around the world, most certified organic, in a kosher shop that closes on Saturdays for the Sabbath and hosts cuppings.
