The Congregation

Why it’s on the route

The Congregation opened in March 2020 in a 1920s church on Rosa Parks Boulevard, led by Betsy Murdoch, who previously worked in wholesale for Great Lakes Coffee, the roaster it serves. The renovation kept the church's character, with a café counter built from pews and the original Casavant Frères organ pipes. By day it serves coffee and pastries, and by night cocktails, beer and shareable plates, with a deck over Gordon Park.
