Why it’s on the route

Germack is a family business founded in 1924 in Detroit's Eastern Market, where it built its name roasting nuts and seeds before adding small-batch coffee in 2012. The roastery on Russell Street is open to the public, with an espresso bar where visitors can watch the coffee being roasted, plus baked goods and the company's nuts and treats.
