Why it’s on the route
Domestique was founded in 2014 by brothers Nathan and Michael Pocus, who started roasting after a trip to Haiti and now import and roast coffee from several origins; the name comes from the cycling term for a rider who works for the team. Dawn Patrol, its Homewood café, opened in 2022 inside the Cahaba Cycles bike shop in a redeveloped former auto garage.
