Intelligentsia Coffee Broadway Coffeebar

Why it’s on the route

Intelligentsia was founded in Chicago's Lakeview in 1995 by Doug Zell and Emily Mange and became one of the defining names of American third-wave coffee. The North Broadway coffeebar is its Lakeview flagship, an industrial-style room with large communal tables. Coffee is roasted at the company's Chicago roastery and served as Black Cat espresso, single origins and made-to-order filter, including AeroPress.
