Ludlow Charlingtons

Why it’s on the route

Ludlow Charlingtons is a Lincoln Park coffee shop on Clark Street whose walls are hung with portraits of shelter dogs from Chicago Animal Care and Control, painted in Victorian dress; many of the dogs have since been adopted. Half of the profits from its branded merchandise go to supporting those animals. The menu leans on rotating seasonal lattes, with the lavender latte a regular favourite.
