Why it’s on the route
La Prima was opened on 21st Street in the Strip District in 1988 by Sam and Debbie Patti, starting out as a working espresso-machine showroom that served coffee. It roasts its own Italian-style blends in the North Side and keeps the feel of an Italian bar, with traditional espresso drinks served mostly standing at the counter and a few small tables outside.
