Why it’s on the route
Loquat is the roastery café opened in Cypress Park in 2022 by AJ Kim and Scott Sohn, the team behind Kumquat. The corner shop, a former ice cream parlour with its vintage sign kept, roasts small batches on site and serves them through a matte-black Victoria Arduino Black Eagle, batch brew and pour-over, with signatures such as mascarpone-foam espresso and Gesha cold brew. The house espresso blend is called Quat.
